Hot Air Ballooning FAQs
What you should wear?
Ladies, you cannot wear skirts or high heals. Wear comfortable clothing and layers so that you can adapt to different temperatures. Since the balloon floats with the wind, most the time you won’t be subject to wind chills and standing under the burners. Under the burners a hat will probably come in handy too plus sunglasses for the glare from the sun.
What time is best to go hot air ballooning?
Morning is when the wind is most calm and the air at it’s
most crisp and clear.
How long will the experience take?
Flights will generally take 4-5 hours in total – from the setting up to the packing up and breakfast. Obviously packages that include other activities or services will take longer.
Are there any weight restrictions?
Yes most operators will have a weight restriction so you need to check with them.
How safe is ballooning?
Hot air ballooning is the safest method of air travel. All pilots are fully licensed and there is no need for parachutes because if for some reasons the burners were to fail, the balloon would parachute you safely back to land.
